NAME

bsdshell.sh — highly secure, persistent public access FreeBSD shell infrastructure

SYNOPSIS

ssh [username]@bsdshell.sh

DESCRIPTION

bsdshell.sh provides development and networking environments running on hardened FreeBSD. The system leverages enterprise-grade ZFS storage and native FreeBSD security components to deliver isolated UNIX accounting for sysadmins and open-source developers.

Standard packages include: tmux, screen, neovim, git, gcc, python3, irssi, weechat, znc.

ENVIRONMENT TIERS (OPTIONS)

The system operates under a dual-tier resource allocation framework:

-f, --free [Default: /dev/public]

Allocates a shared unprivileged environment. Zero cost.
  • Storage quota restricted to 150MB (ZFS enforced).
  • Process execution limited to maximum two (2) background PIDs.
  • Shared external IPv6 routing. Persistent daemons prohibited.

-p, --premium [Cost: $3.50/mo | /dev/paid]

Provisions a fully isolated, dedicated FreeBSD Jail.
  • 15GB high-speed NVMe storage slice.
  • Uncapped background processes via persistent systemd-user equivalent / cron.
  • Dedicated static IPv4 address + exclusive /64 IPv6 subnet.
  • Inbound port-forwarding permitted (ideal for IRC bots, web nodes).
  • Full binary management authority via pkg install inside your Jail.

ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (RESTRICTIONS)

Any behavior matching the conditions below will trigger an automatic kernel-level firewall ban and account purging:

PROVISIONING (SIGNUP)

To prevent automated script bot registration, automated web forms are disabled. Follow the standard protocol:

1. Generate a modern secure key locally:
$ ssh-keygen -t ed25519
2. (from December 1st 2026) Transmit your desired username and the contents of your .pub file to: admin@bsdshell.sh (we need to setup mail first)

DIAGNOSTICS

System diagnostics, package audits, and live server uptimes are updated via the global MOTD upon successful cryptographical handshake.
